Motorcycle Drive Recorder STZ-RF200WD
Motorsports CAM
SD card/recording
The KENWOOD Motorsports CAM smartphone app
The computer software, KENWOOD Motorsports CAM VIEWER
The recorder may require more time to read SD cards that contain a lot of saved data. Delete some of the data on the SD card, format the SD card, or replace it with a new one.
An error has occurred. Press the button to display the error code on the status LED, check the error code on page 17 of the Instruction Manual, then refer to page 38 for diagnosis and troubleshooting.
This was caused by the recorder being powered off during the update. Please disconnect the inline connector on the power cable, and then reconnect it.
This is caused by a scan delay in the CMOS sensor and is unavoidable. If an object (e.g. the body of the vehicle) appears in the viewing angle, this issue may be resolved by placing the camera so that the object does not appear in the display.
Long-press the button while the Motorsports CAM is ON (when only the blue or orange light is on). Wireless LAN mode is active when either the orange light is on or the blue light is blinking. Switch back by long-pressing the button.
An electric shutter controls brightness, and this is an unavoidable consequence of the shutter speed.
The file system standard (FAT32) will become incompatible when using computers to format SD cards. Always use the Motorsports CAM to format SD cards prior to use (see page 8 of the Instruction Manual).
Connect the Motorsports CAM with the KENWOOD Motorsports CAM app and select "Format SD card" from the settings menu. (see page 21 of the Instruction Manual)
* SD cards can be formatted in the recorder even when an error message is displayed. (You can switch to wireless LAN mode by turning the device ON and long-pressing the button while the error message is being displayed)
Metal may be covering the GPS unit. Remove any object covering the GPS unit or install the GPS unit in a location where nothing will cover it. If the issue persists, use "Synchronize time" and "DaylightSavings" in the settings of the KENWOOD Motorsports CAM app.
Time correction is not finished. It will appear after the time is corrected with a GPS or smartphone.
The impact detection level may be set to OFF or high. Gradually reduce the level number (levels 5-1) for impact detection setting and check again.
Affix the device so that it cannot move, then gradually increase the level number (levels 5-1) for impact detection setting and check again.
If video cannot be saved to SD cards for some reason, video data is temporarily saved to internal memory. Video data written to the SD card the next time the device operates will be created as an "Internal" folder. The write speed of the SD card may be slow, so either format the SD card or replace it with a new one.
One set of front video and rear video is equal to "1". (For example, the maximum number of impact videos for a 32GB SD card is 20 front video files and 20 rear video files, for a total of 40 files.)

20210616170237 The time stamp on the left indicates when continuous recording began.
It is updated when the Motorsports CAM is turned on, receives a GPS signal, or returns to continuous recording mode from wireless LAN mode.
20210616170642 The time stamp on the right indicates when video recording began.
It is the same time shown on the first frame of the video.
The file structure for A‗YYYYMMDDhhmmss‗YYYYMMDDhhmmss‗B.MP4 is as follows.
A…F: Front camera, R: Rear camera, N: NMEA file
The 14 digits on the left…The time continuous recording began or the time that time correction finished (UTC).
The 14 digits on the right…The time that the file began recording (in the set time zone).
* If time synchronization fails, then it will be the previous file +1 (YYYY: year, MM: month, DD: day, hh: hour, mm: minute, ss: second)
B…N: Continuous recording, E: Impact recording, M: Manual recording
MP4…Extension
The password may have been entered incorrectly. Reset the password using the "Wireless LAN password" option in the settings of the KENWOOD Motorsports CAM app and enter the default password: 12341234.
The device may have registered the press as a short press, so try to long-press the button again.
The device may already be connected to a different smartphone. Disconnect the device from the other smartphone.
The inline connector on the camera cable may not be connected. Check the connection of the inline connectors for the front and rear cameras. (See page 15 of the Instruction Manual.)
Some smartphone devices may automatically lock the screens and interrupt the process. Do not lock the screen when erasing files during a download, or set automatic screen lock to OFF in the smartphoneʼs settings. (Even if interrupted, the process can be restarted by unlocking the screen.)
It is unclear without confirming what is happening, but it could be related to your smartphoneʼs security settings or security apps. It is probable that the network environment when connecting the Motorsports CAM and the smartphone is different from the normal connection, and the message is displayed as a reminder.
The KENWOOD Motorsports CAM does not contain any functions that collect data or send it to servers, so the data would not be extracted. There should be no issue in continuing to use the device.

Some computers using AMD brand processors are not able to play videos normally. Check using a general purpose computer or a computer using Intel processors. (Operations have been verified on computers using Intel processors, but the symptoms may persist on home-built computers)
Abnormal behavior may occur when the operation system tries to play files that cannot be played. Let the program run undisturbed, and when the error message disappears, close the program and launch it again.
Attach the unit so that it aligns with the longitudinal, lateral, and vertical axes of the vehicle. (see page 12 in the Instruction Manual)
* The impact detection level is not affected if they do not align.
The OS processes may not be operating normally. Stop video playback and close the computer viewer.
Yes, it is compatible with macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later.
