TS-590S
Firmware update information
Last updated : March 12, 2020
The HF/50MHz All-mode transceiver TS-590S firmware has been updated from Version 2.04 to Version 2.05 as follows.
We are offering the firmware updating program to the TS-590S owners.
You can update the TS-590S firmware by connecting the TS-590S to the PC by using a USB cable or an RS-232C cable.
The firmware updating program is not applicable for the TS-590SG.
The TS-590S is no longer in production. The firmware updating program Ver.2.05 is applicable for all units of the TS-590S.

Attention
Updating the firmware from Ver.1.08 (or before) to Ver.2.05 resets the transceiver automatically due to internal memory address reallocation. If you do not want to lose user data, save the data using the Radio Control Program ARCP-590 (Ver.2.02) before updating the firmware and write the data back after updating the firmware.

About virtual COM port driver
A virtual COM port driver needs to be installed onto the PC to use the firmware updating program with a USB cable.
ATTENTION:Do not connect the transceiver to a PC using a USB cable before installing the virtual COM port driver.

Updated item : (Version 2.04 2.05) [March 12, 2020]
  The following symptom is revised.

Updated item : (Version 2.03 2.04) [January 30, 2019]
  The following feature is updated.

1. Enables to work as a "Sub-receiver" on "Split Transfer A" operation with using a TS-890S or a TS-590SG (firmware Ver.1.05 or later) as a "TX/RX End".
Set both of the Menu No.58 and 59 to "ON" to turn the TS-590S Split Transfer function on in VFO operation.
The TS-590S does not work as a "TX/RX End". Please use a TS-890S or a TS-590SG (firmware Ver.1.05 or later) as a "TX/RX End".
For details of the "Split Transfer A" operations, please refer to the TS-890S instruction manuals or the revised TS-590SG instruction manuals.
