A1 KENWOOD Music Editor is compatible with music file formats AAC/WMA/WAVE/MP3. Copyrighted (DRM) files such as music files purchased using the music distribution service cannot be imported to your PC.
When AAC is used, QuickTime Version 7.0 or later must be installed in your PC.
Q2 It is long in registering a library in KENWOOD Music Editor or updating the library.
Is there any method to reduce the time required for registration or updating?
What will happen if I quit registration or updating before completion?
A2 It takes some time to analyze the auto playlist generation data during registration or updating. Skipping analysis of auto playlist generation data allows you to reduce the time required for registration. When the [Do you want to analyze the auto playlist generation data during import?] dialog appears, select [No].
If you select [No], the data will be analyzed in the background during operation of KENWOOD Music Editor.
If you quit registration before completion, the music files that have been analyzed until just before you quit registration will be registered.
Q3 What is the role of the file folder monitoring function?
A3 This function checks whether the music file in the specified folder has been updated. It registers the music file again if the music file has been updated.
If a new music file has been added, this function registers it automatically.
To specify the folder you want to check, select [Tools][Options][Folder Watching] from KENWOOD Music Editor menus.
Q4 Is the imported music file deleted when it s transferred to the USB device?
A4 No. it is not deleted.
Q5 Files other than music files have been created in the USB device. What are these files?
A5 These are information files (database files) used to manage songs.
The KENWOOD car audio system uses these functions. Do not delete them.

A17 Songs are selected at random using the climax setting (degree of elation).

A18 This function detects and plays the main part of a song automatically.

A19 From Ver2.0.0, the dynamic playlist function has been added. This function creates a playlist according to rules such as an album title or artist name.
Q20 What kind of setting is the target use condition "Reduce volume difference between songs during playback"?
A20 The purpose of this setting is to reduce the difference in volume between the songs to transferred to the target to be played by the car audio system.
* Whether this setting can be used depends on the model selected at target registration.
Q21 The sound is sometimes interrupted when playing an AAC file.
Is there any method to solve this?
A21 The sound may be interrupted depending on the version of your QuickTime.
Use the latest version of KENWOOD Music Editor.

Select [File] --> [Optimization of database] from the KENWOOD Music Editor menu, and then the tracks without files will be deleted and the database optimized.
